The artwork shows a corner of nature, which has always been a primary source of inspiration for Padova, in which tufts of grass, shrubs and bushes are rendered with vertical brushstrokes and unfold on different levels, standing out against an unnatural sky, with brown tones. The vegetation and the environment are almost unrecognizable for the brushstrokes soaked in color. The painter transfigures what he observed, giving life to an image of a visionary nature in dialogue with informal poetics. The search for the Informal, for Padova, draws impetus to treat color as a dense and magmatic material, whose strong and violent tones are applied with insistent, marked and irregular brushstrokes. Therefore, the space of representation becomes a layered draft of color, through which he gives free rein to the imagination, to his inner dimension and also to the darkest and most disturbing feelings.
