Bright, colorful dahlias are easily recognizable for their large, broad flower heads that come in a wide range of sizes and shapes. They thrive in full sun and bloom from mid-summer to fall. They were commonly found in French gardens of all types during the 19th century, and Monet grew several varieties, including cactus dahlias, in his flower garden.
