Dai Brocade Loom

The Dai brocade loom, native to Yunan province, is equipped with a small pattern harnesses with individual looped threads controlling each weft pick. After each weft is beaten in, the active loop is moved to the bottom of the pattern harness. Each loom has as many as 100 looped threads.
