MAKING BUILDINGS BETTER AND SAFER. FH/FP Modern builders owe much to the work of the Building Research Station at Garston, near Watford, Hertfordshire. This is part of the Scientific and Industrial Research and experts spend their time experimenting with concrete, stone, brickwork etc. They expose various materials to the weather, test for strength and wear and generally help towards the production of better materials.
