Dashmags are made of processed skin in a variety of shapes and sizes. The hide is fumigated and dressed for one to two weeks in a hole in the ground. Its leather case is stamped with a spiral design. It is used for carrying water or distilled liquor and can be pegged on to the upper part of the ger wall. Flasks were a common accessory for the nomadic horsemen carrying distilled beverages (aka. alcohol).
