Two photographs of the death mask attributed to William Westwood (1820-1846). One image is in front profile and one is in side profile.

Westwood was a convict and bushranger, and was sentenced to life in prison on Norfolk Island in 1845. By October of 1846, Westwood led a prison mutiny due to the cruelty and poor conditions of the prison colony. Westwood and the other people identified as leaders were all hanged. Westwood was only 26 years old.
