The Indian elephant, a gift from the Viceroy of Egypt to King Carlo Felice. Fritz reached Turin on foot, traveling by sea from Alexandria to the port of Genoa. Suppressed in 1852 after killing his guardian, the elephant was donated to the Zoological Museum of the Royal University of Turin to be embalmed and studied. Today the animal is kept in the Regional Museum of Natural Sciences of Turin.
