This sitting owl figure has carved a beak & inlaid baleen eyes. Its body has an incised decorative pattern (triangular stamp pattern) & wing details. There is some pitting at the top of the head & at the base. According to its appraiser's list, it is probably of Siberian Yupik Eskimo origin. It was purchased in Gambell, St. Lawrence Island, Alaska.
