Dohini Wears the Mask

"Dohini wears the mask" [is an artwork] ...painted over the local Qatari newspapers stretched on canvas.
With this painting I would like to bring the message of proper utilization of disposable safe masks in Qatar. Have you noticed recently the masks and gloves on the roads? Protecting ourselves from Covid19 we add to the pollution of the environment and the marine (Gulf waters and the fish), hence bringing forward another ecological pandemic if we won"t learn proper utilization of PPE." - Lyubov Jalladyan

The image is part of the National Museum of Qatar collection. In 2020, the Museum began collecting artwork and documentation related to people's experiences of taking shelter as means to protect themselves and minimize the spread of COVID-19.
