Dominican church When one thinks of the European Baroque in Ukraine, the first thing that comes to mind is the majestic Dominican church in Lviv. Every element here is in a baroque fashion bizarre: John the Baptist is depicted without the Cross, the Apostle Peter without the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven, and the Apostle Paul - without a sword. Even the inscription, placed in the most visible place on the facade, is hard to read from the ground level.
