Kwon Ki Soo is a significant pioneer of Korea's new art scene. The Dongguri character that he has created appears constantly in his drawings, sculptures, and video works. Dongguri is a simple direct character with a naive expression; however, the character's real identity is still a mystery. This simple character is cute and amicable, and is not set out to probe at any complex ideologies. It is merely trying to lead a trouble-free life. Kwon Ki Soo has enlarged this simple image on the facade of the building, and you can also see a large inflated Dongguri leaning against the wall at the over ten meter wide backyard of the Northern Branch retired fellow workers club of the Land Bank, and this giant Dongguri is saying hi to you enthusiastically.
