The Calder Woodburn Memorial Avenue, on the Goulburn Valley Highway south of Shepparton was planted by James Louis Fenton in response to the loss of his son in Word War II.

The Calder Woodburn Memorial Avenue is one of the longest Avenues of Honour in Victoria, and the only planting to be completed by one person. It is also significant for its use of native eucalypts.
