Dr.John Abraham Otte and His Students

Wen Guozhang is a famous contemporary oil painter and art educator in China. His color teaching course has become a bright spot in the history of Chinese art. He is good at landscape and figure painting. He often uses realism to highlight the folk customs with distinct national characteristics, such as "Tajik national spirit", and has created many classic characters. When he was invited to create the Gulangyu humanistic themed painting, he visited the old workplace of Dr. John Abraham Otte several times. He created this work according to the historical facts of the characters. The distance feeling of the characters in the painting was just right. Looking back to the past years, he reproduced the situation that Dr. John Abraham Otte, an international friend, taught the students.
