Dr. Mohamad Eid grew up in Lebanon and was influenced by his high school Arabic teacher who saw education as the key to societal development. He used his PhD in engineering to develop educational technologies geared towards helping learners, including those with learning difficulties. His advice to youths today is to watch less T.V. and read more books. The UAE, he believes, is conducive to the advancement of educational technologies such as Katib. The UAE’s multicultural educational community and visionary leadership is fertile ground for the development of such technologies.
