Dracaeana fragrans is an evergreen shrub with leaves growing spirally from the Stem. Traditionally it’s been cultivated in the Tooro region over a long period of time, planted on boundaries and land demarcations, planted on tombs and graveyards to protect the souls of the deceased, and also commonly used for constructions of spiritual worshiping shrines.The species has been planted at Tooro Botanical Gardens for boundary demarcation.
