This gaslight fitting was recovered from the wreck of the Loch Ard. This iron clipper was wrecked on Mutton Bird Island near Port Campbell in 1878 while travelling from Gravesend, England to Melbourne. It had a large and varied cargo which included gas light fittings. This is a detail of a gaslight fitting in the shape of a dragon retrieved from the wreck.
