Male costume from Istria

Traditional costumes from Istria are influenced by the Adriatic style. Men's costumes are usually blue or brown, sometimes they have ankle-length trousers that are a bit tighter than the usual Slavonian style. There is often a leather vest to accompany the outfit. Coats worn over them are short and long-sleeved, alternatively long and sleeveless. Accessories might include: wide silk belts, dark caps, and cotton socks worn over the footwear (they are called opanci).
