During 1.5 million years, there had been three evolutional level of Homo erectus in Java. Sangiran has provided evidence of the oldest evolution, that is the Archaic Homo erectus (1.5 – 1 mya) and Typical Homo erectus (0.9 - 0,3 mya). The younger one is the Progressive Homo erectus (0.3 mya) that is found out of Sangiran, namely: Ngandong (Blora), Sambungmacan (Sragen), and Selopuro (Ngawi).
