East River, New York, Winter

This river scene is done in a very painterly, impressionistic style. Not much detail can be made out. In the fore ground there are three figures, one of which leads a horse. In the middle ground is the dark streak of a river, and in the background there is a large building surrounded by barren trees. The whole scene is very grey as would be expected of winter scenes.
