Mexico - Biennale Architettura 2016

For over three decades, CENVI has designed and built urban and housing projects. Their works represent alternatives to production and financing promoted by real estate companies and public institutions. They seek to systematize and register participative construction experiences in the city in public policy. In El Molino-Cananea, in Iztapalapa, members of a neighborhood union built close to two thousand dwellings. They used brick and cement prefabs manufactured on site similar to those of the Palo Alto cooperative; CENVI prepared a manual to aid their production.
