Elementary Flying Diploma

Issued by Tuskegee Institute, Division of Aeronautics, to aviation student Robert M. Glass on April 13, 1944, for satisfactorily completing the course in elementary flying. Tuskegee Institute president F.D. Patterson and Commanding Officer, Maj. H.C. Magoon signed the diploma. Several names and addresses, probably of Glass's colleagues, appear on the back of the diploma. These include Robert M. Johnson, William P. Armstrong, Teddy A. Grinage, Samuel L. Leftenaut, Lawrence S. Miller, Anthony A. Laws, Homer Weathers, William M. Cousins, and Pablo R. Gonzales.
