Embroidered Baeja for a Boy

This is a reproduction of a vest from the 1940s. On the blue body is an embroidered design that symbolizes wealth and longevity. A peony is embroidered on each side of the front in symmetry. A couple of cranes and clouds are embroidered on the back. The Chinese characters ‘壽福‘ symbolizing longevity and luck are embroidered along the edges of the neck and armholes and between the buttons. The lining is made of red silk.
