Endemic installations in the Yucatán Peninsula

Every year, the people of Tunkás, Yucatán build a temporary bullfighting arena in the town’s center. Each section of the structure requires those to its sides to stay in place; the arena is unstable if incomplete. Its form and construction process are inextricable
from the town’s social organization.
