Malatesta is a versatile artist, working with a range of techniques and mediums from collage to stencil and sculpture. Both his street art and his gallery works demonstrate his creative flair and eclectic influences.

Malatesta often works with found objects. This piece was created using a piece of metal found lying in the street. The image was carved out against the original paint work, and the colour of the composition comes from the oxidisation of the freshly exposed metal.
