Sevilla, Spain

It is known as English Garden because the thrust of its design was the Queen Victoria Eugenia of Battenberg.

The garden is composed by a wooded area in which nature grows in a free and spontaneous way, as in the English gardens. The biggest trees in this garden are oaks, cedars and Indian chestnut trees. The Gingo, sacred tree or tree of the pagodas comes from China, it is considered a sacred tree and arrived to Europe in 1727. At the bottom of the English Garden, in front of the Alcoba’s Gate, there is an Almohad tower that belonged to the Alcázar defense system.
