Escuela de Herreros Ramón Recuero S.L.

The Ramón Recuero School of Blacksmithing is dedicated to training young people who are looking for a career in traditional blacksmithing. With the aim of addressing the lack of training and generational change in the artisan sector, the school promotes four main avenues: classroom courses, with more than 150 students per year; free online courses, which have reached 20 million hits and 98,000 followers; support for the creation of new artisan workshops through consultancy, training and co-working; and the creation of contemporary pieces using traditional techniques.

In addition to training in traditional blacksmithing, the school promotes cooperation between different artisan disciplines, such as jewellery, ceramics or analogue photography, through various collaborations. Thanks to this combination of training, advice and support, many of its students have been able to open their own workshops and make a living from blacksmithing, helping to strengthen and preserve the craft.
