Garden area, view to the north with Neptune fountain and cascade.
This image is a photochrome. Similar to a lithograph, the individual color layers are printed separately and thus receive their radiant colorfulness. A black-and-white photograph from about 1890/1900 served as a master for the printing process (inventory number of the master photograph: ZI-0717-01-13-099856). Photochrom Zurich's photochromes, abbreviated P. Z., can often be identified by a serial number followed by the letters P. Z. and a caption in gold color.
