Dusabe King Christian (b. 1996) is a visual artist based in Kigali, Rwanda. He showed interest for art at early age and in 2015 he went to Ecole d’arts de NYUNDO, an art school located at Rubavu, Rwanda.
In 2017, he started his journey to tell his stories through his artworks.

Dusabe’s works can be described as contemporary figurative\Portraiture abstract and his style in painting has evolved over time to be more exploratory in terms of colors and shapes even though human figures and portraits are his prime subjects. He paints with oil, acrylic, and watercolor.

Dusabe has had numerous group exhibitions both locally and internationally. And recently he participated in “Art, In Spite of Everything” Contemporary African Art at Museum of African Art – Belgrade, Serbia.

"My series of paintings explores the concepts of remembrance and the feeling of being home. It captures the essence of memories and emotions that are attached to the place we call home, and the yearning to revisit them. The paintings aim to evoke a sense of familiarity and nostalgia that we all experience when we think about the places we grew up in, the houses we lived in, and the streets we walked on. The use of warm and inviting colors will evoke a feeling of comfort and familiarity. The subject matter will range from street scenes to interiors, capturing the nuances of everyday life and the beauty in the ordinary.
Overall, my series of paintings will be a celebration of the places and memories that make us who we are. They will evoke a sense of warmth, comfort, and familiarity, allowing the viewer to feel a sense of belonging and connection to the past."
