Evening dress

Dress beige silk crepe with machine-made green tulle transparency. Over the dress is a green tulle tunic decorated with beads and tiny green metallic appliqués combined with cotton petals to form flowers. A double-sided pink satin belt hugs the waist.

Made in the workshops of Paris, this evening dress of sober lines is combined with a luxurious tunic, richly decorated with metallic thread, crystals and metallic embellishments. In the 1960s, Balenciaga reinterpreted the tunic of the previous decade, presented it more luxuriously and with more colour, according to the new dictates of fashion. The pink bow that hugs the waist of the inner dress provides an original touch.
