Her Majesty Queen Sirikit wore this dress in Ceres Award, Thailand, 11May 1979.
In 1979, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) honored H.M. Queen Sirikit with the Ceres Award in recognition of Her Majesty’s pioneering work to improve the economic, social, and cultural welfare of Thai women. She graciously accepted the award wearing this gown at a ceremony in the Chakri Throne Hall here in the Grand Palace.
