Evinrude made the Model H outboard motor as a portable motor for commercial users to easily attach to boats, scows, and barges to perform tasks like carrying freight, towing other boats, or converting them to stationary tasks like running a saw or grindstone. The Model H is a one cylinder, two-cycle engine capable of producing two horsepower. In 1916, a Model H cost $60 ($1440 in 2020).
