After President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed Executive Order 9066, “exclusion orders” began going up in Japanese American neighborhoods across the West Coast. They informed the residents that they had to leave their homes by a certain date. This notice was posted at Fifth and O Streets in downtown Sacramento.
