About DAISY BALLOON
DAISY BALLOON was created by artist Rie Hosokai, specialized in balloons, and by art director and graphic designer Takashi Kawada, both born in 1976. Since its establishment, in 2008, the duo has created several works made with balloons, aiming with their sharpen human perception and explore different materialities. The production of DAISY BALLOON, which ranges from large installations to the making of dresses, has fascinated the public for the complexity of the details that refer to architectural structures. His everyday research consists of interacting with people and objects based on philosophical themes. What guides his work is the quest to achieve essential harmony between man and everything around him. DAISY BALLOON won the eyes of the world in 2013 with the production of the iconic dress "DNA dress" for the Icelandic singer Björk. Even before that, the duo was already betting on productions ranging from large-scale installations to the making of dresses, fascinating the public for the complexity of the details that refer to ephemeral architectural structures.
