The exquisite Easter egg at the Museum of Amber (depratment of the Museum of Gdansk) was a gift from the Victor Mayer Company for Gdańsk’s millenium. It is made of gold, amber, enamel, brilliants, rubies and sapphires. The “Fabergé egg – Millenium” stands on a base made of orange amber, bound by golden latticework. The four legs bear the images of lions. In front of the showpiece you can see an enameled coat of arms of the city, in the rear – a two-headed eagle, the coat of arms of the Russian Romanov dynasty.
