Kalisz, Poland

This faience jug, produced in a factory, is white with a short neck. On the body, a pattern is placed on both sides, depicting a painted, colorful rooster surrounded by a leafy heart design. The object served both a utilitarian and decorative function. Due to its intended purpose, the most common storage location was the kitchen room in a rural house.
