The MUSA has owned the piece Otoño (Fall) since 2015, work which the artist presented in her exhibition entitled El fuego y el hielo (Fire and Ice), a symbolic allusion to her experiences living on the two geographic poles where she produces her plastic art. Two slender figures seem to float above the surface segmented by color. The one turning her back looks towards the horizon, while the other appears in front looking startled. Shades of ochre are predominant among the background of contrasting lights, reflecting the season alluded to in the title. The ranges of colors gradually blend together and contrast with the blue surface above.
The author does without details on the bodies and faces to focus attention on the nostalgia that envelops them and suggests the presence of something unseen, lending an air of mystery to the work.
