The wing of the fan is made from the softest goat skin, popularly known as swan skin. The painted central motif with the ruin of an ancient temple puts it into the group of so-called Pompeian fans, the decoration of which was inspired by the ruins of Pompeii. The accompanying decoration, elegant and restrained, is fully in the spirit of the new style of Neoclassicism. The fan comes from Opeka Castle.
