Fasting and Praying Process Before Concocting Jamu

The word "Jamu" comes from Traditional Javanese “Jampi Usada” which means “Prayer for Healthiness”. It cannot be denied that prayer is an important element of making and consuming Jamu process, since spiritual world and nature are utilized in Jamu production. The prayer in concocting Jamu means sincerity in the process of making Jamu, without reducing or increasing the ingredients and excessive promises for healthiness.
