The façade of the church of Santa Chiara is divided by a string-course cornice into two orders, both characterised by the alternation of fluted responds and empty niches.
Above the entry portal, richly decorated with plant motifs and framed by fluted columns with Corintian capitals, there is the coat of arms of the Order of Saint Claire, depicting two crossed arms beneath a cross, symbol of the unbreakeable ties between the Order of Friars Minor and the Church.
