Along the right border, there is full-length painting of the character Anarkali with her entire body chained. Below the composition of these images, first comes the director's name reading 'K. ASIF'S', next line; 'MUGHAL-E-AZAM' (English). Below the film title in English, the director's name and the film title are written again in Devanagari. Along the top border, from left to right, there is text present in the top area of the poster reading 'INDIA'S BIGGEST EPIC FILM SEE ON BIG SCREEN ONLY'.
