Film poster for the Hindi/Urdu film 'Mughal-E-Azam' (The Great Mughal), released in the year 1960.

The largely hand-painted poster shows the main characters from the film. In the top half of the poster, there is a bust-length image of the character Anarkali, played by Madhubala. Right below this image is a bust-length image of the character Salim, played by Dilip Kumar. To the left of his image is an image of the character Akbar, played by Prithviraj Kapoor. Along the right border, there is full-length painting of the character Anarkali with her entire body chained. Below the composition of these images, first comes the director's name reading 'K. ASIF'S', next line; 'MUGHAL-E-AZAM' (English). Below the film title in English, the director's name and the film title are written again in Devanagari. Along the top border, from left to right, there is text present in the top area of the poster reading 'INDIA'S BIGGEST EPIC FILM SEE ON BIG SCREEN ONLY'. Below this text towards the left is the banner's name as 'STERLING INVESTMENT CORPORATION PRIVATE LTD. PRESENTS'. Below this text, the music composer's credits are present as 'MUSIC', next line; 'NAUSHAD'. Towards the top right corner, below the promotional text, there is some text written in Urdu, possibly the film title. Towards the left on poster's bottom border, the printer's credits are
