On December 14, 1986, Dick Rutan and his co-pilot Jeana Yeager began what is known in aviation history as “The World’s Longest Flight.” This was the first-ever, non-stop, unrefueled flight around the world. The flight took 9 days, 3 minutes, and 44 seconds covering 26,358 statute miles. Rutan wore the flight suit displayed during subsequent public appearances. Included in the display is an autographed picture of the Voyager by co-pilot Jeana Yeager.
