From the Artist: With the advance of the Covid-19 shutdown, I stocked up on food & supplies to shelter at my boyfriend’s loft with lots of art materials on hand. A community call came to sew over 800 face masks but eventually my need to return to art pressed. Yet instead of sketching, I was drawn to a visceral explorative process by breaking mirrors and composing fragments over collage and paint onto canvas. This insular period provided space to look within, to act boldly and take chances. The Fog of Shattered Dreams, was creatively groundbreaking. It reveals many diverse life stories and with the mirror fragments the art shifts with context and perspective in time and space. The viewing experience is truly four dimensional and ephemeral.
