The printing and layout of "Blast" are significant as attempts to experiment with new ways of designing and presenting visual and textual material, allowing it to be seen as a predecessor to later ventures in modernist print and visual culture, such as those carried out by the partnership of author Mayakovsky and artist El Lissitzky. Shown here is a facsimile reprint of the original 1923 edition of "For the voice".
