This cuboid is made of grayish white jade, with yellow and black stains, which is not transparent jade. In addition, the profile is rectangular prism, drilling a hole on it with the feature of well-polishing from inner part to the outside. Four vertical grooves are carved on the surface of its four sides, by which each side is divided into two parts, presenting the convex surface on it. Further more, the horizontal grooves turn the quadrangular surface into convex rectangular units. The cuboid is divided into four nodes, carved with nine parallel fine lines and 3 lines as one group. The parallel lines are straightforward and in good order, streamlined and smooth. As a fine artwork from the period of Shang and Zhou dynasties, this jade cuboid is a representative of jade cuboids in the bronze culture of the Sichuan Basin.
