This high-ranking festive Berlin belonging to Kaiser Franz Joseph was exclusively used by members of the imperial family at official occasions such as the Corpus Christi procession and the Hungarian coronation in 1916. The lavish outfitting with double suspension, roof gallery, four lanterns, seven windows and ornately carved gold-plated ornamentation emphasises the high ceremonial rank of the carriage. © Monica Kurzel-Runtscheiner, Crane Neck and Gold Crepine.
