A theorist and artist of Mono-pa, LEE U-FAN (1936- ) acquires a trace from the artist's action while drawing blue lines up to down on white canvas. The simple line and color reveal the beauty of the east. The lines existed within a harmonious lime maintain a relation between them. In addition, the color is getting fainted. As a result, the line rather became spelled out a intrinsic meaning from the process, than the result itself was. Lee focused great upon eastern 'gi,' which became a starting point of all living creatures. Thus, he attempts to reach at a natural state by the artist's repeated and one-time action.
