Bansi Raja was a prominent figure among the Kayastha caste settled in the Hyderabad was belonged Saksena family. His original name was Raja Girdhari Pershad Mahbub Nawazwant, but popularly known as Bansi Raja. He had worked in many departments and even served as the military Serrishtahdar. But, he was famous as Serrishtahdar of regular and irregular forces. He was involved in all the programs conducted in his locality such annual urs program i.e. commemoration of a local Muslim saint, he had been served breakfast to his neighbors especially to those who were fasting during Ramzan and attended in Muharram procession, etc. Also, he was a leading literary figure among the Kayastha with the honorary pen name of Baqi and even produced around 30 books and poems.
