Funerary stone of Quintus Vennonius Felix, seviro (imperial cult priest) and his freedman Abilis. The measures of the funeral fence (fifteen feet both in width and in depth), are shown. The gravestone was found in the necropolis of San Maurizio facing South towards Via Emilia.
The inscription reads: “Q(uinto) Vennonio / Felici IIIIII viro / et Habili lib(erto) / In agr(o) p(edes) XV in fr(onte) p(edes) XV” (“To Quintus Vennonius Felix, sevir, and to his freedman Abilis. [The fence measures] in depth fifteen feet, in lenght fifteen feet”).
