<treasure no. 351> This stone stupa, or shrine for the sarira pearls found in the cremated ashes of Buddhist masters, is believed to have been erected at Borisa Temple in Yongmun-myeon, Yangpyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province. The sarira inside the stupa were presumably retrieved from the cremated body of the great monk Taegyeong (862-930 C.E.). A representative work of Goryeo stone structures, this stupa inherits the style of the previous kingdom of Unified Silla.
