This furisode (long-sleeved kimono) is a typical bridal garment of high-ranking samurai families.
It is embellished with felicitous motifs: the cranes are flying among the pines, bamboo and plum trees which stretch upward from the hem to the shoulder, while the turtles are swimming at the bottom of the dress. These patterns are shining against the white glossy satin.
